Release Notes
Effect generation and compilation now work on 32 and 64 bits (Windows 7 64 bits).
.NET 4.0 version (Visual Studio 2010, Visual Studio 2010 SP1).
Generates WPF 4.0 and Silverlight 4.0 effect assemblies.
To use the Perspective FX tools and build your pixel shaders, you just need Visual Studio 2010 or
Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4
, and
The DirectX End-User Runtime
.
To recompile the Perspective FX tools, now you need Visual Studio 2010, C++ for the compiler, and C# for the other assemblies. You also need the DirectX SDK.
Binaries now contain version information.
Source code now uses the new .NET 4 API for MSBuild (Microsoft.Build.Evaluation.ProjectCollection class instead of the deprecated Microsoft.Build.BuildEngine.Engine class).
A .proj file is now systematically generated for WPF and for Silverlight.
Convolution3X3Filter now compiles with the latest DirectX 9 versions (X3025 error fixed).
FxDemo.xaml now uses all the Perspective FX filters.
